Eastport Confirms Significant Uranium Discovery at Foley Project. Eastport Critical Metals Corp. has announced a major uranium discovery at its Foley Uranium Project in Botswana, sparking renewed exploration excitement in the country’s mining sector.

Initial drilling results have confirmed uranium mineralisation over a strike length of approximately 1.4 kilometres, with encouraging intercepts from the first ten reverse circulation drill holes. Highlights include 8 metres grading 553 ppm U₃O₈, 6 metres grading 500.7 ppm U₃O₈, and a high-grade intercept of 2,333 ppm U₃O₈ over 1 metre, underscoring the project’s strong exploration potential.

The discovery lies just 350 metres north of the Letlhakane uranium deposit, one of Africa’s largest undeveloped uranium resources. Eastport believes the Foley mineralisation may form part of the same paleo-channel system that hosts the neighbouring deposit, opening possibilities for a broader mineralised corridor.

Eastport CEO Burns Singh Tennent-Bhohi described the outcome as exceptional for a maiden drilling campaign, noting that the continuity and grades encountered provide a strong foundation for further exploration. With five assay results still pending from the 24-hole programme, the company expects additional data to help define the scale and significance of the discovery.

The announcement reinforces Botswana’s growing reputation as a premier mining destination, highlighting the country’s potential to attract further investment into the uranium sector. The results also position Eastport to advance exploration activities with confidence, while contributing to Botswana’s broader resource development agenda.
