President Kagame Tours Botswana’s Diamond Trading Company. The President of Rwanda, His Excellency Paul Kagame, visited the Diamond Trading Company of Botswana (DTCB), a 50/50 joint venture between the Government of Botswana and De Beers. The company is responsible for sorting and valuing diamond production and is regarded as the world’s most sophisticated and largest diamond sorter.
Welcoming President Kagame and his delegation, Acting Minister of Minerals and Energy Wynter Mmolotsi described the visit as a privilege, noting Botswana’s long-standing reputation for excellence in diamond administration. He emphasized that the country’s natural diamond industry is not only a source of wealth but also a symbol of national progress and integrity since independence.
Mmolotsi highlighted that Botswana’s diamond sector represents a legacy built on dreams, discipline, and commitment to excellence.
