FNB Botswana and Africa’s Eden Tourism Association Sign Agreement to Support Regional Tourism Growth. FNB Botswana and Africa’s Eden Tourism Association have formalised a partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in Maun, bringing together stakeholders from across the tourism sector.

The agreement signals a joint commitment to strengthening collaboration within Southern Africa’s tourism industry. Both parties indicated that the partnership aims to unlock investment opportunities and support the sustainable development of tourism across the region.

The signing ceremony gathered tourism operators, investors, and other industry participants, reflecting the broad interest in initiatives that promote regional growth. The collaboration is expected to encourage closer cooperation between businesses and organisations involved in tourism, with a focus on long-term sector development.

Following the formal proceedings, attendees participated in the Maun Wine Experience, an event designed to provide a more informal setting for engagement. The gathering created opportunities for participants to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships within the tourism ecosystem.

FNB Botswana stated that its involvement in such partnerships forms part of a broader approach to supporting clients and industries beyond traditional financial services. The bank highlighted its role in facilitating opportunities that contribute to economic activity and sector resilience.

Africa’s Eden Tourism Association, which works to promote tourism across multiple Southern African destinations, is expected to collaborate with the bank on initiatives aligned with the objectives outlined in the agreement.

The partnership comes as regional stakeholders continue to explore ways to enhance cooperation and drive tourism growth. By bringing together financial services and industry representation, the agreement reflects an effort to support a more connected and sustainable tourism landscape in Southern Africa.
