NuCarbon Launches Breakthrough Biofuel Innovation in Botswana. Botswana’s innovation landscape reached a new milestone with the launch of NuCarbon’s pioneering technology that transforms chicken litter into multiple sustainable products, including biofuel, biogas, biochar (fertilizer), and bio oil.

The launch, witnessed by Unleashing Africa and Innovation Kgotla, showcased the strength of local innovators developing African solutions for African challenges. By converting agricultural waste into valuable energy and agricultural inputs, the project highlights the potential of homegrown innovation to address pressing issues of sustainability, energy access, and food security.

Funded by the Botswana Innovation Fund and supported by partners including the Botswana Digital Innovation Hub (BDIH), the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), and the Botswana Economic Transformation Centre (BETC), the initiative reflects a collaborative effort to empower youth and strengthen the country’s innovation ecosystem.
