BoFiNet Appoints Dr. Gaone Geoffrey Seleka as CCEO. The Board of Directors of Botswana Fibre Networks (BoFiNet) has announced the appointment of Dr. Gaone Geoffrey Seleka as the organisation’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 March 2026.
Dr. Seleka is a seasoned leader in telecommunications and digital transformation, with extensive experience across technical, executive, and strategic roles in sectors including telecommunications, banking, mining, and academia. His appointment marks a significant milestone for BoFiNet as it continues to strengthen Botswana’s national broadband infrastructure and advance the country’s digital economy.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Seleka has contributed to governance and strategic oversight through board memberships in both state-owned enterprises and private sector organisations. This background provides him with strong insight into corporate governance, national development priorities, and stakeholder management.
Academically, Dr. Seleka holds a PhD in Business Administration (Fintech), alongside master’s degrees in Projects and Quality Management and Computer Information Systems, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Computer Information Systems. He has further enhanced his expertise through executive and professional certifications, including the Management Development Programme (MDP), ITIL Manager Level 2, IBM Digital AI Specialist, and Google AI Essentials.
