Sefalana Bids Farewell to Executive Director Gerhard Scheepers. Sefalana Holding Company Limited has announced the retirement of Gerhard Scheepers from its Board of Directors, effective 31 March 2026. The announcement was made in line with the Botswana Stock Exchange Equity Listing Requirements.
Scheepers has been a key figure within the Sefalana Group since joining in 2016. His leadership trajectory saw him appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Sefalana Cash & Carry Limited in 2021, before taking up the role of Executive Director on the Sefalana board in 2022. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening the Group’s Cash & Carry and Retail operations in Botswana.
During his tenure, Scheepers contributed to the growth and development of the company’s retail footprint, helping to consolidate Sefalana’s position in the competitive consumer goods market. His efforts were recognized by the Board, which expressed its appreciation for his dedication and service.
In a statement, the Board of Directors acknowledged Scheepers’ valuable contributions, noting that his leadership had been instrumental in driving operational improvements and supporting the Group’s long-term vision. “We extend our gratitude to Mr. Scheepers for his commitment and the impact he has made during his time with the Group,” the statement read.
