The announcement confirms the continuation of a partnership that supports one of Botswana’s major national football tournaments, providing financial backing for its administration and prize structure. The competition features 48 teams competing in 47 matches through a nationwide knockout format.

Speaking on the renewed agreement, Chief Executive Officer Néné Maïga said the decision reflects a commitment to sustained national engagement through sport. She described the sponsorship as part of broader efforts to invest in platforms that create opportunities for young people and strengthen community participation.

Organisers indicated that the upcoming season will focus on expanding the tournament’s reach and improving engagement with supporters across the country. Planned initiatives include increased fan interaction, wider community activations, and expanded visibility for matches nationwide.

The sponsorship will also support digital engagement for fans, with interactive features available through online platforms linked to the tournament. In addition, organisers have introduced online ticketing to improve matchday access and convenience, alongside measures aimed at strengthening event security.

The competition continues to be delivered in partnership with the Botswana Football Association, which oversees the organisation of the tournament and its national rollout.Through the renewed sponsorship, Orange Botswana will maintain its role in supporting the operational structure of the event while enabling continued participation from clubs across the country.
