CEDA to Conduct Nationwide KYC Validation and Update Exercise. The Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA) has announced that it will carry out a Know Your Customer (KYC) Validation and Update Exercise for all clients and stakeholders from 5 February to 28 April 2026.

In a client notice, CEDA said the exercise forms part of its ongoing efforts to ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen service delivery, and meet Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements. The agency indicated that the process is aimed at verifying and updating client records to ensure that information held by CEDA remains accurate and current.During the exercise, clients may be contacted directly by CEDA officials and requested to confirm or update both personal and business details. This may include the submission of supporting documentation where required. CEDA noted that the validation process will be conducted across its client base and applies to all relevant stakeholders.

The agency has called on clients to cooperate fully with officials and to provide accurate information within the stipulated timeframes. According to CEDA, maintaining up-to-date records is essential for the integrity and safety of its funding processes and enables the agency to serve entrepreneurs more effectively.

CEDA said the KYC validation exercise is part of its broader commitment to transparency and responsible financial practices. The agency added that adherence to regulatory standards is critical in ensuring that its operations align with national and international compliance requirements.

The KYC Validation and Update Exercise will run until 28 April 2026, and clients are encouraged to engage promptly when contacted to avoid delays in service.
