Maun-Based Raxa Milling Focuses on Organic, Community-Centred Grain Production. Raxa Milling, a milling company based in Maun, is building its presence in Botswana’s food production sector with a focus on organic and responsibly sourced grain products. Established in 2005, the company was founded on the principle that food should be both nutritious and ethically produced.

To support this approach, Raxa Milling partners with local farmers who practise organic regenerative agriculture. The company states that this collaboration helps ensure that the grains used in its products are grown using methods that prioritise soil health and sustainable farming practices.

Raxa Milling operates with a team of five employees and produces a range of staple grain products commonly used in local households. Its core offerings include bopi jwa mabele, lebelebele, bopi jwa mmidi, mosutlhwane and korong. In addition, the company supplies sorghum meal, samp and animal feed.

According to the company, careful milling processes and strict quality control measures are applied to preserve the natural properties of the grains. Raxa Milling says this approach helps deliver food products that are clean, safe and maintain their natural nutritional value.

Currently, Raxa Milling’s products are available through the Maun Cooperative. The company has indicated that it is working toward expanding its reach by listing its products with retailers across Botswana.

Raxa Milling operates from Plot 27556 in Botshabelo Ward, Maun. Those interested in learning more about the company or its products can make contact by telephone at +267 76 037 868 or +267 75 353 974, or via email at info@raxa.co.bw.

Through its operations, the company continues to position itself as a local producer committed to community-focused food production and responsible sourcing.
