Stanbic Bank Botswana and CEO Contribute P200,000 to Masunga Primary School. Masunga Primary School has received a combined donation of P200,000 from Stanbic Bank Botswana and its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chose Modise, in a contribution aimed at supporting the school’s infrastructure development.

The donation was officially handed over during a ceremony held at the Masunga Main Kgotla. Of the total amount, P100,000 was contributed by Stanbic Bank Botswana, while Mr Modise personally donated an additional P100,000. Mr Modise is an alumnus of Masunga Primary School.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr Modise expressed appreciation to Stanbic Bank Botswana for supporting an institution that played a role in his early development. He explained that his personal contribution was motivated by gratitude and a sense of responsibility to give back to the school that laid the foundation for his educational journey.

The event brought together members of the school community and local leadership, marking the occasion as a significant moment for the institution. The donation represents one of the notable financial contributions received by the school in recent times.

Masunga Primary School head, Mr Bawana Stephen, welcomed the donation and described it as a historic gesture that would leave a lasting impression on the school community. He said the contribution would be used for the benefit of learners, staff and the wider school community, adding that it symbolised meaningful support for education in the area.

According to the school, the funds will be directed towards revamping the school’s Administration Block as well as the School Head’s Office. The planned upgrades are intended to improve the working environment for staff and support the overall administration of the school.

The donation reflects collaboration between the private sector and educational institutions, with Stanbic Bank Botswana highlighting its involvement in community-focused initiatives. For Masunga Primary School, the contribution provides an opportunity to enhance key facilities while strengthening ties with former learners and corporate partners.

The handover ceremony concluded with expressions of appreciation from the school and community, acknowledging both the institutional support from Stanbic Bank Botswana and the personal gesture made by Mr Modise.
