BTO Opens New Tender Opportunities for Citizen-Owned Security and Cleaning Service Companies. The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) has issued a new tender notice inviting 100% Botswana citizen-owned companies to submit bids for two service contracts covering security and cleaning operations at its offices. The tenders provide opportunities for locally owned enterprises to participate in long-term service provision within the tourism sector.
The first tender is for the provision of physical security services for BTO satellite offices. The contract will run for a period of two years, offering qualifying security firms the chance to supply personnel and systems that meet BTO’s operational requirements. According to the notice, submissions for this tender must be sealed and clearly referenced, with the closing date set for 19 February 2026 at 10:00hrs.
The second tender focuses on the provision of cleaning services for BTO offices, also for a two-year period. The closing date for submissions for the cleaning services tender is 20 February 2026. Interested businesses are required to ensure their bids are properly marked and submitted in line with BTO’s procurement guidelines.
For Botswana’s entrepreneurs in the security and cleaning sectors, these tenders represent opportunities for business growth, revenue stability, and increased visibility within a major national organisation. The long-term contracts may also empower small and medium-sized enterprises to expand their operational capacity and create employment.
BTO has encouraged companies seeking clarification or further details to reach out via the official procurement email or contact the organisation by phone. All enquiries or questions related to the tenders can be directed to procurement@botswanatourism.co.bw or 3913111.
With tourism continuing to play a key role in Botswana’s economic landscape, service tenders such as these support local participation and ensure that citizen-owned businesses remain central to sector operations. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to prepare compliant, well-documented submissions ahead of the respective deadlines.
