Young Botswana Chemist Builds Growing Consultancy Around Science, Sustainability and Local Solutions. A new wave of youth-led innovation is emerging in Botswana’s environmental sector, and one of its rising figures is Mr. Ompatile Moseje, a young chemist whose career is rooted in scientific rigour and a commitment to sustainable development. As the Founder and Lead Consultant of Premium Water & Chemical Consultancy (PWCC), Moseje is positioning his company as a practical solutions provider for agriculture, industry, and residential clients across the country.

Moseje holds a BSc in Pure and Applied Chemistry from the Botswana International University of Science and Technology. His experience spans several reputable institutions, including Morupule Coal Mine Laboratory, JB Marks Local Municipality in South Africa, and Gaborone Private Hospital. These roles have strengthened his technical grounding in water and wastewater treatment, soil chemistry, and environmental analysis — areas that are increasingly critical as Botswana navigates water scarcity, industrial expansion, and climate-related challenges.

Based in Phakalane, PWCC offers a broad range of analytical and treatment services that appeal to farmers, manufacturers, and households seeking reliable environmental solutions. The company specialises in water quality testing, including physical, chemical, and biological assessment; soil testing and fertility management to support higher crop yields; and the design and installation of treatment systems such as filtration units, disinfection systems, softeners, and reverse osmosis setups.

PWCC also provides industrial and boiler water treatment programmes, wastewater treatment solutions, and consultancy services aimed at improving operational efficiency and environmental compliance.

For many Botswana entrepreneurs, Moseje’s growth reflects a wider opportunity: combining technical expertise with impactful, sustainability-driven business models. His work demonstrates how young professionals can contribute to national development while building enterprises that respond directly to local needs.
