Stanbic Bank Botswana and EntreprenHER Forge Partnership to Boost Women-Led Enterprises. Stanbic Bank Botswana has formalised a new partnership aimed at strengthening the growth of women entrepreneurs across the country, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the EntreprenHER team on 18 November 2025. The EntreprenHER initiative is a collaboration between UN Women and De Beers, focused on advancing economic opportunities for women through targeted enterprise support.

The agreement marks a coordinated effort to expand access to business training, market linkages and financial solutions designed specifically for women led ventures. For Botswana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, particularly small and medium sized enterprises, the partnership represents an opportunity to improve skills development and unlock new avenues for participation in competitive markets.

Stanbic Bank Botswana noted that the collaboration aligns with its longstanding commitment to inclusive economic participation and its brand promise that “Botswana is our home, we drive her growth.” Through this partnership, the bank aims to enhance support mechanisms for women who are building, scaling or formalising their businesses in sectors across the economy.

For entrepreneurs and businesses in Botswana, the initiative introduces an expanded network of institutional support, combining financial sector expertise with development driven programmes. The involvement of UN Women and De Beers also adds a broader regional lens to the partnership, positioning women entrepreneurs to benefit from platforms that encourage innovation, mentorship and sustainable business practices.

As access to capital, markets and technical skills remains a key challenge for many women owned businesses, the partnership is expected to create a more enabling environment for long term growth. With Stanbic Bank Botswana and the EntreprenHER team committing to closer collaboration, the effort reflects a growing momentum in Botswana’s business community to support gender responsive economic development.
