Sefalana to Create 600 Jobs as It Expands Its Bake & Grill OOutlets. Retail giant Sefalana Group has announced plans to create at least 600 new jobs by the end of February 2026, as part of its ongoing expansion in Botswana’s food industry.

The initiative comes as Sefalana strengthens its growing Bake & Grill concept, recently launching its third outlet at Commerce Park. The in-store dining section offers a range of freshly made pizzas, schwarmas, and other quick meal options designed to enhance the shopping experience and attract a broader customer base.

Speaking at the launch, Sefalana Food Marketing Manager, Keletso Segagwe, highlighted that the company remains committed to empowering local communities through sustainable job creation. “Our goal is to ensure that every new store brings employment opportunities to Batswana. All staff members have undergone comprehensive training to maintain the quality and service standards that define the Sefalana brand,” Segagwe said.

The new jobs will include positions across food preparation, customer service, operations, and management — reflecting the company’s efforts to expand responsibly while fostering local skills development.

Sefalana’s expansion within the retail and food sector underscores its continued growth as one of Botswana’s leading homegrown brands. The retailer has steadily diversified its business operations across the country, contributing significantly to employment and the national economy.

As consumer demand for convenient dining continues to rise, Sefalana’s focus on local talent and product innovation positions it as a strong competitor in Botswana’s evolving retail landscape.
