Botswana Mining Show 2025 to Spotlight Innovation and Sustainability in the SSector. The Botswana Mining Show 2025 is scheduled to take place from October 22 to 24 at Ditshupo Hall in Gaborone, with organisers projecting over 10,000 participants, 150 exhibitors, and 50 speakers from around the world.
Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, Event Project Lead Boikanyo Kgosi said the annual event aims to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to reshape the future of the mining sector. “We are entering a new era where mining is not only about extraction but about sustainability, technology, and transforming lives,” Kgosi said.
This year’s edition will place strong emphasis on innovation, green mining, and value addition, aligning with Botswana’s long-term vision to diversify its mineral economy and encourage responsible resource management. Exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge technologies in exploration, automation, and safety—areas increasingly vital to improving operational efficiency and environmental performance in mining.
The Mining Show has grown into one of Southern Africa’s most influential platforms for mining dialogue, providing opportunities for investment partnerships and knowledge exchange between local and international players.
According to organisers, the conference sessions will feature industry experts and government officials discussing the role of technology in future mining operations, the economic impact of value chain development, and sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact while improving productivity.
President Advocate Duma Boko is expected to officially open the event, underscoring government’s support for advancing mining innovation and industry collaboration.
