BTO Re-Opens Tender for Hosting Rights of Makgadikgadi Epic 2026–2028. The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) has issued an invitation to re-tender for the Hosting Rights of the Makgadikgadi Epic 2026–2028, offering a new opportunity for 100% citizen-owned companies to take charge of one of the country’s most prominent tourism events.

The Makgadikgadi Epic is internationally recognised as a premier skydiving and adventure festival that brings together local and global visitors in Botswana’s iconic Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. Beyond its tourism appeal, the event plays a vital role in promoting Botswana’s brand as a unique adventure destination, while also creating platforms for local businesses to benefit from the influx of visitors.

Interested bidders are required to submit proposals in sealed, clearly marked envelopes no later than Friday, 31 October 2025 at 10:00hrs. The call for re-tendering is expected to attract strong interest from local entrepreneurs and event organisers eager to leverage the event’s potential for both domestic and international market exposure.
