Creative Industry Secures Spotlight at Global Expo Botswana 2025. Botswana’s creative sector will, for the first time, receive dedicated focus at Global Expo Botswana 2025, an initiative spearheaded by the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC). The move marks a significant milestone in efforts to diversify the national economy by positioning creativity as a driver for trade and investment.

Speaking at a media briefing yesterday, Mr. Temo Ntapu, Executive Director of Export Development and Promotion at BITC, said the inclusion of the sector demonstrates Botswana’s commitment to expanding opportunities beyond traditional industries. “This year we are excited to showcase Botswana’s creative industries alongside our competitive sectors. We see this as an opportunity to connect local creatives with international buyers, investors, and partners,” he stated.

The expo will feature a mix of exhibitions, business-to-business networking sessions, deal-making platforms, and conferences designed to strengthen cross-border trade and attract investment. Small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) will also benefit from access to global markets and potential partnerships.

Set to take place from October 8 to 11 at Fairgrounds in Gaborone, Global Expo Botswana 2025 will be hosted under the theme Unlocking Botswana’s Potential: Partnerships for Sustainable Growth. The event is expected to draw industry leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and investors from across the world, creating an environment for meaningful engagement and collaboration.
