BDC Facilitates Delivery of 36 Tonnes of Essential Medicines to Strengthen Healthcare. The Botswana Development Corporation (BDC), through the Unity Healthcare Botswana Partnership Fund I (UHBP I), has announced the facilitation of a major consignment of essential medical supplies aimed at reinforcing the country’s healthcare system.

A total of 36 tonnes of critical medical supplies, including 85 life-saving medicines, are scheduled to depart Dubai, UAE, on Thursday, 12 September 2025, with arrival in Gaborone confirmed for Friday, 13 September 2025.

BDC highlighted that this milestone reflects its ongoing collaboration with the Government of Botswana and strategic partners to meet urgent national healthcare needs. The initiative under the Unity Healthcare Fund demonstrates a structured approach to ensuring timely access to vital medicines across the country.
