Botswana Chamber of Mines to Host Third Local Manufacturing Summit in GGaborone. The Botswana Chamber of Mines (BCM) has announced the third edition of the Local Manufacturing Summit (LMS), set to take place from September 1st to 2nd, 2025, at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC). The event is expected to bring together manufacturers, suppliers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders to strengthen Botswana’s manufacturing and supply chain sectors.
The Local Manufacturing Summit builds on BCM’s long-standing initiatives under the Chamber of Mines Business Development Forum (COMBDF), the Supplier Development Programme (SDP), and the Citizen Economic Empowerment Programme (CEEP). These programmes, launched in 2014, have focused on creating platforms where businesses can collaborate, grow local supply chains, and advance citizen participation in the national economy.
This year’s summit will provide opportunities for businesses to register as participants, showcase products and services as exhibitors, or engage as sponsors and technical partners. It will also feature keynote speakers and industry discussions designed to highlight local opportunities, enhance collaboration, and promote innovation within the manufacturing ecosystem.
For entrepreneurs and businesses in Botswana, the LMS presents a critical space to network, explore new market linkages, and align with corporate and government efforts to boost local production and job creation.
Registration is open at www.localmanufacturingsummit.com, with further inquiries directed to summit@bcm.org.bw or +267 391 4685.
With the focus on driving economic diversification, the 2025 summit will continue BCM’s mission to support local manufacturing, bridge gaps in the supply chain, and expand business opportunities for citizen-owned enterprises.
