Botswana Tourism Organisation Recognised at Consumer Fair 2025 Awards. The Botswana Consumer Fair 2025 hosted its annual Awards Ceremony yesterday under the theme “Embracing Innovation & Technology for Economic Transition.” The event celebrated organisations and businesses driving growth, creativity, and innovation across multiple sectors of the economy.

The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) secured second place in the Non-Regulatory Parastatals category. The recognition highlights BTO’s continued efforts to showcase Botswana’s tourism potential through innovative strategies and impactful marketing initiatives.

BTO was represented at the ceremony by Marketing Manager – Public Relations, Ms. Tebogo Ramakgathi, Legal Counsel and Board Secretary, Mr. Kgotso Miles Ollyn, and Acting Marketing Manager – Promotions, Ms. Messiah Matolela, alongside members of the organisation’s team.

As part of its mandate, BTO continues to drive destination marketing, tourism investment, product development, grading and classification of enterprises, and stakeholder engagement. The award serves as encouragement for the organisation to further strengthen its role in positioning Botswana as a leading destination for both leisure and business travel.

BTO also extended congratulations to tourism operators, associations, and trusts that exhibited under its stall, several of whom walked away with awards. Their success reflects the resilience and innovation within the tourism sector and the critical role industry players play in enhancing Botswana’s global competitiveness.

The Botswana Consumer Fair, which runs from 25 to 31 August 2025, remains a key platform for entrepreneurs, corporates, and stakeholders to showcase products, services, and innovations to the public. Attracting thousands of visitors each year, the fair has become an important space for networking, collaboration, and celebrating excellence in Botswana’s business landscape.
