The initiative invites all senior secondary schools across the country to participate in a national contest that focuses on trading, finance, and investment skills.

The contest is structured into two stages. The first is the Regional level, where all registered schools will begin their participation. Winners from each region will then proceed to the National level, where the overall champions will be determined.

Registration opened on 18 August 2025 and will close on 05 September 2025. Trading officially starts on 09 September 2025, with the national competition dates to be announced after the regional round concludes.

For entrepreneurs and businesses, this initiative demonstrates the importance of early financial education in preparing the next generation of investors, business leaders, and innovators. By fostering awareness of stock markets and investment strategies, the competition contributes to building a financially savvy society that can positively influence Botswana’s economic future.

Schools interested in joining are encouraged to register through the BSE website at www.bse.co.bw and click on the Stock Market Simulator tab for more details.

The BSE-Stanbic partnership signals a strong commitment to advancing financial education and strengthening Botswana’s investment culture, starting with the youth who will become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and decision-makers.
