Dikgwebo Dialogues in Palapye Inspire Entrepreneurs with Real Success Stories. Entrepreneurs in Palapye were treated to first-hand insights from two dynamic founders at the latest edition of the Dikgwebo Dialogues, an initiative aimed at empowering Botswana’s business community. The event, powered by UNICEF Botswana and Generation Unlimited, brought together business leaders, startups, and support organisations to share practical advice and experiences.
Tapologo encouraged entrepreneurs to recognise the potential of Botswana’s local resources and transform them into scalable products. Her company produces a range of organic goods made from Lerotse, including energy bars, juices, snack seeds, and syrups. These products are not only available in the market but are also served on Air Botswana flights — a testament to the reach and quality of her brand.
Gagoipone, a beneficiary of Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) services, shared her journey of building Sparkle It Detergents. She stressed the importance of personal growth, continuous learning, and active engagement with mentorship programmes offered by institutions such as BDIH, LEA, and Tokafala.
For Botswana’s entrepreneurs, the session offered more than inspiration — it provided actionable strategies for turning ideas into sustainable businesses. By showcasing real examples of success, the Dikgwebo Dialogues demonstrated that with resourcefulness, learning, and the right support networks, local enterprises can thrive in competitive markets.
The event reinforced Palapye’s growing reputation as a hub for entrepreneurial engagement and business development, giving founders the tools and motivation to scale their ventures.
