First Youth Sessions Spotlight Manufacturing Entrepreneurs, Inspire Next Generation of Business Leaders. Aspiring entrepreneurs in Botswana were given a front-row seat to real-world business wisdom this week during the First Youth Sessions, a dynamic and interactive networking event designed to equip young minds with practical tools for entrepreneurial success.

The session welcomed two accomplished guest speakers making a mark in the manufacturing sector: Mr. Mitchel Setswalo, founder of Green Pioneering Developments, and Ms. Didintle Moreki, founder of the cross-border skincare brand Organic Naturals Skincare.

Mr. Setswalo, whose company produces biodegradable packaged alkaline water, delivered actionable advice on crafting innovative solutions around real-world problems. He stressed the importance of conducting thorough market and financial analysis, building effective teams, and learning from early-stage business missteps. Setswalo urged youth to explore strategic networking and business diversification as vehicles for long-term sustainability and growth.

Ms. Moreki, known for transforming Organic Naturals Skincare into a multinational brand with stores in Botswana, South Africa, and Kenya, focused on lean business strategies. She shared her journey of starting with limited resources and scaling through deep market research, continuous learning, and a commitment to purpose-driven entrepreneurship. Her session also introduced attendees to the Business Model Canvas as a foundational tool for building resilient businesses.

Both speakers highlighted the importance of aligning entrepreneurship with societal impact, echoing a shared vision of sustainable growth and inclusive development.

The First Youth Sessions is part of a broader initiative to foster exposure, inspiration, and transformation among Botswana’s emerging entrepreneurs. Organisers noted a strong turnout and enthusiastic engagement, with participants leaving motivated and better equipped to navigate the challenges of building a business.
