Dijo-Tsame Restaurant Kitchen Reopens After Health Compliance Clearance. First Times (Pty) Ltd, trading as Dijo-Tsame Restaurant in Mochudi, has officially resumed kitchen operations following a successful re-inspection by health authorities. The approval comes after the facility was previously closed due to non-compliance with health and operational standards.
The initial closure was triggered by a surprise inspection that uncovered shortcomings in hygiene and food safety practices, leading to an immediate suspension of kitchen operations. Authorities at the time cited the restaurant’s failure to meet minimum requirements as outlined in public health regulations.
Following the shutdown, First Times (Pty) Ltd took swift corrective action to address the cited issues. After thorough internal reviews and structural improvements, a follow-up inspection was conducted earlier this week. Inspectors found the restaurant had adequately met the required standards for cleanliness, food handling, and operational procedures.
As a result, health authorities granted permission for the kitchen to reopen on Monday, marking a return to full service for the establishment.
The Environmental Health Office overseeing the case commended the restaurant for its quick response and cooperation during the compliance process. The office also reminded all food establishments in the region of the importance of maintaining high health and safety standards to ensure public well-being.
First Times (Pty) Ltd management expressed appreciation for the guidance received during the inspection process and reassured customers of their ongoing commitment to food safety and quality service.
