Debswana Diamond Company has been awarded a prestigious Medal of Honour by the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5, recognising its longstanding support and investment in sports development across Botswana and the wider Southern African region.

The award was presented during a recent ceremony held in Namibia and accepted by Debswana’s Executive Head of Corporate Affairs, Rachel Mothibatsela, on behalf of the company. The AUSC Region 5, representing ten Southern African nations including Botswana, Angola, South Africa, Zambia, and others, applauded Debswana for its over three decades of sustained impact in community sports, infrastructure, and athlete development.
