First Youth Centre Hosts Powerful Entrepreneurship Session with Local Business Leaders. Young aspiring entrepreneurs gathered today at the First Youth Centre for an engaging and impactful networking session that highlighted real-life business experiences and practical insights from two of Botswana’s rising entrepreneurial voices.

Organised in partnership with the Institute for Entrepreneurial Development (IED) and the FNBB Foundation (FNBF), the event featured guest speakers Goabaone of Fro Girls BW and Mr. Nkago of Nkago Simentallers, who each shared valuable lessons from their unique business journeys.

Goabaone, a trailblazer in Botswana’s natural hair care market, shared how she turned a personal need into a growing enterprise. She stressed the importance of believing in one’s idea, building a global-ready brand, and investing in research and innovation to stay competitive. Her business, rooted in authenticity and quality, has inspired many young women to see entrepreneurship as a tool for both personal and economic empowerment.

Mr. Nkago brought a strong agricultural perspective to the session, drawing from his hands-on experience in livestock farming. His talk focused on financial discipline, the necessity of investing one’s own resources, the value of mentorship, and income diversification as a survival and growth strategy for any business.
