Free Workshop to Equip Youth Construction Directors and Vocational Graduates with Industry Knowledge. The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has announced a two-day capacity building workshop designed for directors of youth-led construction companies and young individuals with vocational skills.
The workshop is scheduled to take place from 25–26 June 2025 at Cresta Marang, running from 08:00 to 16:00 hours each day. Attendance is free.
This initiative aims to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to thrive in the competitive construction industry. It is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to build a stronger pipeline of local industry players by targeting youth who are already engaged in or preparing to enter the construction and technical trades sectors.
According to the Ministry, the workshop will offer practical sessions on how to navigate the challenges of the industry, understand operational requirements, and align with national infrastructure goals. Topics will include project management fundamentals, compliance with construction standards, and how to build a sustainable enterprise within Botswana’s evolving economic landscape.
The event targets young entrepreneurs and tradespeople who already possess hands-on experience or qualifications in construction-related fields. Those who wish to attend must register at Ntshe House Office 508.
For Botswana entrepreneurs, particularly in the construction and vocational sectors, this workshop provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen their business acumen, connect with peers, and gain insight into sector-specific demands.
By offering targeted support, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure reinforces its commitment to creating pathways for youth involvement in national development through infrastructure and skills-based entrepreneurship.
