Gambling Authority Engages Casino Operators to Strengthen Sector Oversight and Growth. The Gambling Authority of Botswana hosted a high-level consultative session with casino operators as part of its ongoing efforts to shape a more compliant, transparent, and responsibly regulated gambling sector.
Held at the Authority’s offices, the engagement served as an open platform for industry stakeholders to raise key concerns, share insights, and align on priorities that will shape the future of gaming in Botswana.
The event was attended by representatives from licensed casinos, regulatory officials, and members of the Gaming Association of Botswana. Discussions focused on enhancing regulatory compliance, promoting responsible gaming, and fostering sustainable sector development.
Speaking on behalf of the Gaming Association, Mr. Bipin Awasthi expressed appreciation for the Authority’s willingness to create a space for open dialogue. He emphasized the importance of mutual understanding between regulators and operators in ensuring the industry remains both viable and accountable.
Gambling Authority CEO, Mr. Emolemo Peter Kesitilwe, reaffirmed the regulator’s commitment to addressing all raised issues with transparency. He called on all stakeholders to continue working together to build a gambling environment that balances innovation, economic growth, and public interest.
