Local Author Reimagines Africa’s Future with Bold New Fiction Series, The Mela Legacy. Botswana author Ita Mangela is set to launch The Mela Legacy, a bold four-part speculative fiction series that merges African heritage, ancestral history, and futuristic storytelling.

The book series will debut at a public event on Thursday, 19 June 2025, from 18:00 to 20:00 at Exclusive Books, Airport Junction in Gaborone. Entry is free, and readers and entrepreneurs alike are encouraged to attend.

At the heart of The Mela Legacy is Nala Isa, a gifted University of Botswana student who is drawn into a hidden world of ancestral power through her connection with the mysterious Emang Mela.
