Dreamers at the Helm: Vice President Celebrates Botswana’s Creative Spirit at Dreamers Exchange Festival. Botswana’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit took centre stage at the Dreamers Exchange Festival, held yesterday, with Vice President Mr. Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe delivering a powerful keynote that linked the nation’s historic journey to its rising generation of innovators.

The event, organised by the Dreams Alive Club, welcomed internationally acclaimed American artists Meagan Good, Dijon Talton, and Lamyia Good, who joined local creatives to exchange ideas, inspire youth, and highlight the power of imagination in shaping national identity.

In his address, Vice President Gaolathe reminded attendees that Botswana’s foundation was laid by visionaries. He paid tribute to founding figures like Sir Seretse Khama, Sir Quett Masire, Motsamai Mpho, and Kenneth Koma, emphasizing that their legacy is carried forward by today’s young dreamers — from filmmakers and fashion designers to coders and entrepreneurs.

The festival served as a platform for local creatives to showcase their work, build networks, and draw inspiration from international peers. Entrepreneurs in attendance were encouraged to use their skills not only to create personal success but also to contribute to Botswana’s broader cultural and economic development.

With rising industries in tech, arts, and tourism, the Vice President noted that Botswana’s entrepreneurs are writing the next chapter in its national story—one filled with bold ideas, innovative thinking, and global ambition.
