Marang Mbaakanyi of Drones For Africa Joins 2025 Stanford Seed Transformation Program. Marang Mbaakanyi, Managing Director of Drones For Africa, has been selected to join the 2025 cohort of the Stanford Seed Transformation Program (STP) in Southern Africa. Her inclusion in the program highlights Botswana’s growing presence in the region’s innovation and tech-driven business landscape.

Drones For Africa is a women-led, youth-driven technology company based in Botswana, offering advanced drone solutions across various sectors. The company provides drone sales, certified training, and custom-built drone technologies that help businesses improve precision, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. From agriculture and mining to infrastructure and environmental monitoring, Drones For Africa is contributing to Africa’s aerial transformation through technology.

Now entering its 8th Southern Africa cohort, the Stanford Seed Transformation Program is an initiative of the Stanford Graduate School of Business. It supports high-potential entrepreneurs in emerging markets by offering a year-long leadership and business growth program. Participants gain access to Stanford faculty, networking opportunities, and business tools to help scale their companies and impact their local economies.
