Botswana Gears Up for HATAB Annual Conference 2025 in Maun. Preparations are underway for the highly anticipated 2025 Hospitality and Tourism Association of Botswana (HATAB) Annual Conference, set to take place from April 24–25 at Maun Lodge. This year marks the 40th edition of the event and brings together key stakeholders from tourism, government, finance, education, and the private sector.
Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) will feature prominently at the conference with an exhibition showcasing the country’s wide-ranging tourism offerings — from its pristine wilderness to vibrant cultural heritage. Visitors to the BTO stall can expect a sensory experience of Botswana’s rich tourism landscape.
The conference will also host an impressive list of exhibitors, including Botswana Power Corporation, Mascom, University of Botswana, Great Plains Conservation, Air Botswana, CEDA, Stanbic Bank, and the National Arts Council of Botswana, among others. These organisations represent a cross-section of sectors essential to the sustainable growth of the tourism and hospitality industry.
Organised in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the event will provide a platform for collaboration, policy dialogue, and business networking, while fostering public-private partnerships aimed at strengthening Botswana’s tourism ecosystem.
HATAB has called on stakeholders and the public to attend and explore the innovations and initiatives driving the sector forward. The conference is expected to spark valuable discussions, support local businesses, and reinforce Maun’s role as a key tourism hub.
