Arcee (Pty) Ltd: Citizen-Owned Chemical Manufacturer Expands Footprint Across Southern Africa. As part of its after-care program, the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) recently conducted a visit to Arcee (Pty) Ltd, a rapidly growing citizen-owned manufacturer of specialty chemical products. The company has emerged as a key player in Botswana’s industrial landscape, producing a wide range of chemical solutions for industrial, institutional, and retail use.

During the visit, General Manager Mr. Sanjay shared that Arcee began operations in September 2015 at Commerce Park before relocating to a larger facility in Gaborone West Industrial to accommodate its expanding operations. Today, Arcee employs 41 Batswana and just one foreign national, underscoring its commitment to local employment and skills development.

Arcee specializes in industrial and household cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and personal care products. It offers both custom manufacturing services and an extensive in-house product line, boasting over 80 products across multiple categories. These include dishwashing liquid, tile cleaners, fabric softeners, hotel-grade detergents, hand sanitizers, foam bath, and glycerin.

The company’s competitive edge lies in its quick turnaround times, cost-effective solutions, and professional team of experts in chemistry, engineering, and commerce. Their diverse expertise has enabled Arcee to deliver consistent quality to clients across sectors such as hospitality, retail, and healthcare.

Arcee’s products are distributed through major retailers like Choppies Enterprises across the SADC region—including Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and South Africa—as well as Auto World, Trans Africa, Reddys Group, Smith Shine Enterprises, and Giants Canning CC.
