Vee Mampeezy Calls on KFC Botswana to Support Flood Relief Efforts. Botswana’s popular musician, Vee Mampeezy, has publicly urged KFC Botswana to contribute to the national Disaster Relief Fund following the recent devastating floods affecting communities across the country.

In a heartfelt social media post, Vee Mampeezy addressed KFC directly, emphasizing that while businesses have the right to choose whether to donate, those that collect charitable contributions from customers should also step up in times of crisis.

“I humbly ask this not as Vee but as a KFC customer and a Motswana who has contributed countless 2 pula for charity at KFC,” he wrote, referencing the fast-food chain’s ongoing donation campaigns.

The artist stressed that companies benefiting from customer donations in the name of charity should be held accountable when urgent humanitarian needs arise. He called for transparency, suggesting that if KFC chooses not to participate in disaster relief efforts, it should reconsider soliciting charitable contributions from customers.

His statement has sparked discussions online, with many social media users echoing his sentiments and calling on businesses to actively support affected communities. KFC Botswana has not yet issued a public response to the request. The Disaster Relief Fund, set up to provide emergency aid to those impacted by the floods, has received donations from various companies, individuals, and organizations.
